When a house stays vacant for extended periods of time serious problems can arise. In this closet the mold growth was the thickest but throughout the basement mold grew 4 foot up the walls after a heavy rainstorm left the basement carpet soggy throughout. With no water mitigation the water ran up the drywall mold took hold and the high humidity allowed it to stay.
